Suwarrow island was discovered by the Russian Captain Mikail Lazarev and
named after his ship. - Today Suwarrow National Park is a Wildlife Sanctury.

As it lies very remote and is part of the northern group islands, the best public
access to this beautiful National Park is provided by Pacific Expeditions Ltd.
They own and operate the Research Vessel Bounty Bay, based on Rarotonga.

All divers, bird watchers, photographers etc who search for adventures on
an uninhabited island are welcome to put their names on the list for the next
Suwarrow voyage. The R / V Bounty Bay started tourists trips to Suwarrow
