couple in Sokalas garden friendly goat above Te Aponga Uira in Avarua girl with beachdog on Muri beach ... Having some animals we can watch, feed and perhaps touch every now and then is worth a lot on a holiday island ;-)

Owners, how about taking better care of your dogs by having their coats trimmed occasionally. You can ask the volunteer vets at the Esther Honey Foundation Animal Clinic for help and advice. The colorful dog collars with their numbers tags are a great idea.

Here is an idea that some goat owners might want ot look at. By having a door in the fence and a little food path to enter the goat ranch the animals become more accessable for the visitors and their children. - In return, the visitors will be happy to bring some snacks for the goats and to pay a Dollar or two entrance fee. (Please be careful of their horns)

We do not have elephants here but they are difficult to touch anyway.

But watching the roosters dancing with the hens may inspire you to go out
and participacte in an island night with dancing later the day ...

Goats have nice coat and they are pretty clean by the occasional tropical showers. Touch them, look into their eyes, but take care of theirs horns ;-)

A young visitor being some 16.000 km far from home can make friends with
a nice beachdog that knows humans and that will brighten up her day a lot.

Disclaimer* : In our experience most of the dogs are very friendly but it
always pays to be alert for the occasional not so friendly dog.

Every now and then we ad a piggie or a moko to this subpage. Soon ...
